David was different. While others didn't mind losing a bit of mutton to the odd roaming lion David cared about the individual sheep so much that he fearlessly went after the offending lion. Perhaps the most radical message to date: Hebrews 13:17 (KJV) was translated as " Obey those who rule over you and be submissive" but would have been better and more accurately translated: "Trust them that are leaders and be yielding: for they watch in behalf of your souls". Leaders are called to mentor not lord over. We have one Master and even He came as servant! Enjoy the ongoing discussion.

If you are in a famine country hunger ain't good but otherwise it is. Spiritually Hunger is a must or else we won't truly seek God, the only one who satisfies. Dave tell the hilarious story of his visit to a church where he misunderstood why the handkerchiefs were provided and faced a moral dilemma as a result.

Thirst is good and natural and to not have it is dangerous. So too with the things of the spirit. The recurring theme of so many revivals and awakenings has been the thirst of a small group of saints who realized that what they had was not enough. They were desperate for more...of God.
